Summary of the Life Changer – Chapter 8

Mohammed Kabir, a laboratory technologist employed by the University who was nicknamed Doctor since secondary school and has always been referred to as Dr Kabir, was the person that deceived Salma and collected money from her.

Labaran discovers Salma has been played by the gambler and informs Habib suggesting Zaki be contacted to handle the situation.

Honourable Habib is doubtful about involving Zaki because he failed in the first mission of abducting Alhaji Adamu’s son. Habib later agrees to Labaran’s suggestion and contacts Zaki to trail Kabir.

Kabir was found at a gambling spot. Kabir wins the game at the gambling spot and leaves to avoid losing it all. Sadly, he is tracked by thugs whose mission was to retrieve Kabir’s wins.

Zaki catches up with Kabir as he was being attacked by the thugs. Zaki strikes the thugs and gains control of the situation as they fled. He then collects the money from Kabir and left him bruised.

Ummi also told her children about how Salma changed from her immoral ways to become serious and decent after the death of her father and because of that, Ummi became friends back with Salma.
